Too few MPs are Ed Miliband according to leader of the Labour Party, Ed Miliband.
The Labour Party leader was speaking at the launch of his new series of conferences called "Ed Talks", a similar concept to Ted Talks but in which every speaker is Ed Miliband.
"I look at the Jack Straw situation and I just think, 'This wouldn't have happened if Jack Straw was Ed Miliband'", Ed told those gathered. He went on: "Jack Straw spent too much time behaving like he was Jack Straw and not enough time thinking like Ed Miliband."
"I say to all MPs, next time you're thinking about lobbying for a corporation or taking up a consultancy position, just stop for a moment and ask yourself, what would Ed Miliband do?
"But today I want to put to you a more radical idea. I want you all to imagine, if you will, this scene: you're watching the opening of Parliament on the news. Both Houses are packed. The camera pans out to give a panoramic view of the entire chamber. That's when you realise: every single MP is Ed Miliband. The prime minister is Ed Miliband, the leader of the opposition is Ed Miliband; even the speaker is Ed Miliband. Now, what would you say if I told you that the Queen was also Ed Miliband?"
"I know some of you will say that this is the stuff of dreams and that such a utopia could never exist. But if I've learnt anything from Steve Jobs, it's that nothing is impossible; whether it be selling loads of phones or getting yourself elected to every seat in Parliamant whilst simultaneously becoming Monarch."
"Thank you all for listening."
